What does performing at Somerpride mean to you?
I may appear a cis male on the surface, but my experience of gender and sexuality is much more complex than that binary label. I am grateful to be supporting and participating in SomerPride, a festival that celebrates diversity of experience. My brother was gay and died of AIDS. I hope that by performing in SomerPride I can honor his memory and celebrate his love of music.

My favorite way to unwind after a long day is rolling up a spliff, cooking some dank food, and hanging with my cat Arti
What does performing at Somerpride mean to you?
Performing at Somerpride means a lot to me. It will be my first festival outside of Baltimore, and my first time playing in Boston. As a queer artist, it is an honor to be able to celebrate pride by playing rock n roll music, and performing cause I can’t think of anything queerer 😜

Birthday meal?
Mairead: My go to birthday meal is homemade Mac n cheese and red velvet cake!
Maddy: I don’t have a go to meal, but I love cheesecake on my bday.
One album for the rest of my life?
Mairead: I would listen to Dolly Parton’s “Little Sparrow” for the rest of my life.
Maddy: Right now it would be “Songs” by Adrianne Lenker I think.
Dream Collaboration?
Mairead: Dolly Parton for sure is the ultimate dream collaborator.
Maddy: My dream collaborator is also Adrianne Lenker!
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
Mairead: I love sitting on my porch with the dog and some friends after a long day.
Maddy: I like walking around Brookline while listening to music, or making a nice dinner with my roommates.
What does performing at Somerpride mean to you?
Mairead: I feel so honored to play Somerville pride! I love being gay and sharing that with other LGBTQ+ people.
Maddy: It feels great to be able to celebrate my identity with other gay people!”

Drew: Brian May, John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, and me just trying to keep up somewhere in there. Or if we’re looking outside of music, I’d work on anything with Grant Morrison, they’re amazing!

Sarah: Time with the cat and three different shows about the same true crime cases.
Drew: A shower, meditation, my guitar, and our cat Dustin Rhodes. I’m a simple guy.

Sarah: It feels very validating as a queer person.

Performing at somerpride means a lot to me because it’s another opportunity to be around the people I love . Being themselves. SomerPride is another opportunity to celebrate inclusiveness & diversity which has been the foundation of my artistry.

California by Mr Bungle. The album is super layered to the point that after 10 years of listening to it i’m still finding new parts.

Who’s your dream collaboration?
Bjork. For 2 reasons. I’ve loved her music and her style. Also, I’m very curious at her song writing process.

What does performing at Somerpride mean to you?
Somerpride means a lot because representation matters to me especially in the music and arts scene. If you can help someone become more comfortable in their journey, you gotta do it.
